Ilang beses ko na rin nasabing tatakbo nga ako sa Student Council (SC) due to the request of Ate Karen dahil nakita niya ang aking dedication sa aking tungkulin bilang Freshmen Class Organization Governor the past School Year... Mababa man ang aking dating rango sa buong College kasi I am ruling only about 300 Freshies that time, compared sa other organizations na napakarami ng mga members, naipakita ko raw ang aking worth being a leader of this organization dahil I have manage to lead them sa Intramurals, sa lahat ng mga events lalo na noong Christmas and most especially I have managed to submit the Accomplishment Report and Financial Statement on time (Actually I was only to help my treasurer being the highest in the org pero I became at the same time Treasurer)...
Kaya naman kahit alam kung hindi ako naging perpekto sa aking pamamalakad dahil I have to do still my personal things I am always willing pa rin na maging Governor ulit kahit mahirap... For a year I have represented 300 persons in General Assemblies, sa mga projects ng SC na kahit mag-out reach pa sa mga pinakaliblib na lugar ng ILocos Norte walang angal kasi enjoy naman... Kaya hanggang ngayon hindi matanggal ng karamihan ang tawag nila sa akin na Gov... Ipinupush nga nila na mag-Governor ulit ako pero sabi ko I need to try another...
Dumating nga ang SC sa buhay ko... Inilagay nila ako sa position bilang Business Manager... Mababa ang posisyon na ito pero ito ay isang key position dahil kung wala ito walang SC... I very proud pa rin na kasali ako dito... Ang akala ko may makakalaban kami pero sa kasamaang-palad nag-iisa ang partido ngayong taon... Kaya kaninang umaga natuloy ang SC rally for presentation lang ng bagong officers... Pero still there is voting for formality raw and according to the Constitution and By-laws ng SC you need 50% confidence vote kapag iisa ang party...
Well, tapos na ang balloting at kahit hindi na bilangin mananalo talaga kaming lahat kasi no other choice naman...
And so this is the start of the real service to my fellow CTEians... If then I only hold 300 students now I have the authority over 1,200 students of the College... I have now the power to say something... I have now the voice over school politics... I admit that somehow I really wanted to join the SC since the first day of my college life because I really wanted to be a part of the wonderful things that this organization is doing (The College SC is the best SC in the entire University that it also takes advantage than the Central Student Council because of its tremendous services to the students and the community)...
At ngayon, kung noon marami akong time para sa mga walang kwentang bagay ngayon aagawin na ng SC ang time na iyon... And actually majority of the officers agree that we will work on Sundays... imagine Sunday, I need kasi to consider pa rin that I have also my responsibilities kahit ayoko sana sa Sunday... Kaya it is a busy Sunday for me siguro maiintindihan naman ni God kung working day ang Sunday ko... Tsaka una pa rin naman Siya kasi 7:30-9:30 pa rin ako sa Simbahan, first part MASS then diretso sa Blessed Sacrament for 1 hour...
Hay buhay, I need na talaga to allocate my time in my study, service to the College, and also my spiritual life, kasama na diyan ang CCS at ang aking volunatary work sa Anluwage... pero still pinakamalaking time ang spiritual... hehehehe...
